This ministry is coordinated by Bishop Lebert Shakes who is the Pentecostal Chaplain in Norwich prison. He is supported by Pastor Mark Pimlott and other members of nflc.

The prison ministry team visits 4or 5 times each year and has the responsibility of leading and ministering in 3 chapel services. The worship service includes praise and worship, Bible reading, drama, solo or group presentation followed by a Gospel message leading into a alter call which give the prisoner the priceless opportunity to surrender their lives to the life changing power of Jesus Christ.

The chaplaincy team, staff and prisoners are grateful to this committed, vibrant and enthusiastic group from Norwich Family Life Church to share in the worship services. They use a variety of unique talents in presenting an uplifting service along with the dynamic preaching of the word of God.

The impact of this ministry on the worshipper is profound, lasting and truly life changing. Many prisoners commented on how they enjoy the Gospel service even weeks later.

This ministry is in fulfilment of St Matthew 25: 36 where Jesus said “I was in prison and you came to visit me”. Jesus is expecting us to reach out to those who have lost there way and guide them back to the Light through the love of Jesus Christ.
